Jazzy de Groot is a Dutch conservator-restorer of easel-paintings and art historian. Trained and based in The Netherlands, she specializes in the treatment of and research on 16th-18th century
Dutch and Flemish Old Master Paintings.

'After graduating as an art historian in 2013 at the University of Amsterdam, specializing in Dutch & Flemish Art, I followed the Master's program in Conservation & Restoration of
Cultural Heritage. After completing the master's degree in 2015, I worked as a conservator-restorer in training at Stichting Restauratie Atelier Limburg, the Cultural Heritage Agency of the
Netherlands and the Van Gogh Museum. After completion of my training, I started working as an independent painting restorer in mainly the restoration of 16th-18th century Dutch and
Flemish art for private individuals, museums and art dealers. Closely collaborating with Martin Bijl, a top specialist of Old Master Paintings and former head of the restoration
department of the Rijksmuseum, I learned on the invaluable tricks of the trade, expertise and intricacies involved with the treatment of Old Master Paintings. A painting is unique, just like its
owner and the collection it belongs to. Restoration is therefore always tailor-made. Treating your object with the utmost care in a modern conservation studio is what I do at a high and
    ethically responsible level.'
